Lake Maquarie is the largest coastal salt-water lake in Australia. Near Newcastle in New South Wales it is flanked by several suburbs and is homevto many fish, including sharks, plus dolphins, and yes I know dolphins are not fish but mammals! Each area of the lake provides totally varying vistas, but towards sundown here with sunset at 6.30pm (winter) Ì see these amazing skies. And the water can be quite Golden Pond. Every day is different.
