My annual pilgrimage to Hodsock Priory followed a day of torrential rain, so the designated pathways were very muddy and quite a challenge, though I am sure all children wearing ‘wellies’ (wellington boots) will have great fun slithering about. There are around two hundred species of snowdrops in the woods though I didnt bend down to differentiate! It was so nice to see so many people of all generations arriving and enjoying the delicate-looking flowers that pop up even through thick snow to announce the coming end to winter.
